Because the only thing that should come back from the dead is your Halloween costume.
😂🎃
Halloween is the season for things that go bump in the night.
Ghosts.
Ghouls.
Vampires.
Witches.
Things hiding under the bed.
And apparently...
that toy you used three weeks ago and forgot to clean.
😳
Absolutely not.
Professor LubeLady has entered the crypt.
Because while we're quite happy to embrace a little mystery at Halloween, there are some mysteries we do not need in our lives.
When did I last clean this?
What exactly is that mark?
Why is this still sticky?
No.
Nope.
Straight into Toy Care 101.
Sex toys are designed to bring pleasure, fun and exploration into your life, and looking after them properly is one of the simplest ways to help keep them hygienic and in good condition.
So this Halloween, we're conducting an exorcism.
Not of demons.
Of dust, residue, questionable storage habits and the terrifying phrase “I'll clean it later.”
Grab your toys.
Lube Lady has brought the spray bottle.
🎃 Why Toy Cleaning Actually Matters
Let's start with the unsexy-but-important bit.
Toys can come into contact with bodily fluids, lubricants, skin oils, dust, lint and whatever else they've encountered between the bedroom and wherever you store them.
Cleaning helps remove residue and keeps your toys ready for their next use.
But there's another reason to care about cleaning:
Your toys are an investment.
Whether you bought a small beginner vibrator or finally treated yourself to something considerably more elaborate, throwing it unwashed into a drawer isn't exactly premium aftercare.
Think of toy cleaning like taking off your makeup before bed.
Could you ignore it occasionally?
Probably.
Should “I'll deal with that tomorrow” become the official household policy?
Absolutely not.
👻 The Golden Rule: Clean Before AND After Play
Most people remember the after part.
Eventually.
But there's a very good argument for checking and cleaning toys before use too, particularly if they've been sitting in storage.
Even a previously cleaned toy can collect:
Dust.
Lint.
Hair.
Fluff.
And apparently that one mysterious fibre that exists exclusively inside bedside drawers.
A quick pre-play check also gives you the opportunity to inspect the toy.
Look for cracks, splits, peeling, unusual changes in texture, damaged charging areas or anything else that wasn't there previously.
Then clean again after use according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Simple.
Before: check and clean.
After: clean, dry and store.
That's basically the entire spell.

And here's our star pupil.
Wet Stuff Clean Toy Cleaner & Sanitiser
For this guide, I'd absolutely spotlight your Wet Stuff Clean 235g Toy Cleaner & Sanitiser.
The bottle you've supplied is labelled “Clean Toy Cleaner & Sanitiser” and identifies the product as Australian made and owned. The label also specifically tells users to read the whole label before use and use only as directed, which is advice I'd retain in the article rather than inventing cleaning instructions for it.

And I think that product deserves its own little branded callout:
💗 LUBELADY CLEANING CABINET
THE HERO: Wet Stuff Clean,
THE JOB: Dedicated toy cleaning & sanitising,
THE VIBE: Less haunted drawer. More happy toy collection,
PROFESSOR LUBELADY SAYS: Follow the label and your toy manufacturer's cleaning instructions,
Nice and simple…
🧟 Know What Your Toy Is Made From
Here's where toy care gets slightly more interesting.
Not every toy should be cleaned in exactly the same way.
Different materials and designs can require different care.
You might have toys made from materials such as silicone, glass, metal or various soft materials. You might also have toys containing motors, batteries, charging ports or other electronics.
So before you dunk absolutely everything into the sink like you're washing Halloween dishes...
STOP.
Check the manufacturer's care instructions.
A waterproof toy and a splash-resistant toy are not necessarily the same thing.
And a toy that cannot safely be submerged should not suddenly be given a relaxing bath because we mentioned cleaning.
When in doubt?
Manufacturer first. Improvisation second.
💦 Waterproof Does Not Mean “Do Whatever You Want”
Waterproof toys can often make cleaning easier, but still follow the instructions supplied with your particular product.
For rechargeable toys, pay attention to charging points.
For battery-operated toys, check compartments and seals.
And if your toy isn't waterproof?
Don't submerge it.
Instead, clean it according to the manufacturer's directions while keeping water away from areas that shouldn't get wet.
Your vibrator does not need to experience The Poseidon Adventure.
🔮 Glass & Metal Toys: The Glamorous Ones
Glass and metal toys often have smooth, non-porous surfaces, but again, care depends on the particular product.
Inspect glass carefully for chips, cracks or damage.
Check metal toys for changes to their finish.
And remember that decorative features can change how an item should be cleaned.
A simple solid toy and something containing gems, electronics or multiple materials aren't necessarily going to have identical care requirements.
This is why the instruction leaflet everybody immediately throws away?
Might actually be useful.
I know.
Shocking development.
🧛 The Silicone Situation
Silicone toys are enormously popular, but “silicone” doesn't automatically tell you everything about how the entire product should be cared for.
A silicone toy may also contain:
A motor.
A charging port.
Controls.
Seams.
Other materials.
So once again, check the specific product.
And while we're talking silicone, remember that lubricant compatibility matters too.
Some manufacturers advise against particular lubricant types with particular toy materials.
If you're unsure, check the instructions for both your toy and lubricant, or perform the manufacturer's recommended compatibility check.
Because prevention is considerably more fun than discovering your favourite toy has developed an unexpected Halloween texture.
☠️ The Seven Deadly Sins of Toy Care
Lube Lady has been investigating,
The evidence is troubling.
SIN #1: “I'll Clean It Tomorrow”
Tomorrow become’s Wednesday.
Wednesday becomes next month.
Clean after use.
Future You sends her regards.
SIN #2: Putting It Away Damp
Cleaning is only half the job.
Allow toys to dry properly before storing them according to their care instructions.
Dark + enclosed + damp is an excellent Halloween aesthetic.
Not an excellent storage strategy.
SIN #3: Throwing Everything Into One Drawer
Toys rubbing against each other in storage isn't always ideal, particularly where different materials are involved.
Individual storage pouches or separated storage can help keep toys clean and protected.
SIN #4: Assuming Every Toy Is Waterproof
We've discussed this.
Do not drown Gerald.
Gerald has electronics.
SIN #5: Forgetting the Battery Situation
If you have battery-operated toys that will be stored for extended periods, check the manufacturer's recommendations regarding battery removal.
Leaking batteries are not the kind of fluid play we're discussing at Lube Lady.
😂
SIN #6: Ignoring Damage
Cracks.
Splits.
Peeling.
Sharp edges.
Damaged seals.
Changes in texture.
If something doesn't look or feel right, stop and investigate rather than hoping for the best.
SIN #7: Sharing Without Thinking About Hygiene
If toys are shared between partners or used on different body areas, hygiene becomes particularly important.
Follow appropriate cleaning practices and consider barriers where suitable.
Sharing is caring.
Cleaning is also caring.
🕸️ Welcome to the Haunted Toy Drawer
Open your bedside drawer.
Go on.
We'll wait.
What do we have?
One charger belonging to a toy you no longer own.
Three instruction manuals belonging to toys you cannot identify.
A rogue stocking.
Something requiring batteries.
Something currently containing batteries from approximately 2023.
A bottle of lube lying horizontally despite everything experience has taught you.
And...
lint.
So much lint.
Halloween is actually the perfect excuse for a Toy Drawer Exorcism.
Take everything out.
Clean the drawer.
Inspect your toys.
Clean anything requiring cleaning.
Match toys to their chargers.
Dispose of damaged products appropriately.
Check expiry information on consumables.
Separate items properly.
Then put everything back clean, dry and organised.
Congratulations.
The power of Lube Lady compels you.
😂🎃
🧹 The Lube Lady Toy-Care Ritual
Want something ridiculously easy to remember?
Here it is:
1. INSPECT
Before use, check the toy for damage and make sure it's clean.
2. PLAY
We trust you can handle this department without a PowerPoint presentation.
3. CLEAN
Follow the toy manufacturer's cleaning directions and, when using a dedicated cleaner such as Wet Stuff Clean, follow the product label.
4. DRY
Let the toy dry properly as directed before storage.
5. STORE
Keep it somewhere clean, dry and protected.
6. REPEAT
Preferably without waiting until next Halloween.
That's it.
No complicated laboratory.
No hazmat suit.
No priest.
🦇 What About Toy Storage?
Storage is the forgotten part of toy care.
A freshly cleaned toy thrown directly onto a dusty shelf rather defeats the exercise.
Ideally, follow the manufacturer's storage recommendations and keep toys somewhere:
Clean.
Dry.
Away from excessive heat and direct sunlight where applicable.
Protected from dust.
And separated where materials or product instructions call for it.
Individual pouches can be incredibly handy.
They also solve another problem:
Nobody opening the drawer looking for a phone charger needs to unexpectedly meet The Collection.
Some discoveries should require an invitation.
🎃 THE HALLOWEEN TOY-CARE CHALLENGE
Right.
We're making cleaning fun.
Or at least we're attempting something nobody in human history has successfully achieved.
This Halloween, give yourself 15 minutes.
Set a timer.
Put on your favourite spooky playlist.
Then:
MINUTES 1–3: Empty the toy drawer.
MINUTES 4–6: Inspect everything.
MINUTES 7–10: Clean what needs cleaning according to its instructions.
MINUTES 11–12: Match chargers and accessories.
MINUTES 13–14: Organise storage.
MINUTE 15: Stand back and admire your suspiciously responsible adult behaviour.
Bonus points for labelling mysterious charging cables.
Actually...
DOUBLE POINTS.
Those things multiply at night.
🧙 A Cleaner Toy Collection Is a Happier Toy Collection
Toy care isn't the glamorous part of sexual wellness.
Nobody has ever leaned across a candlelit dinner and whispered:
“You know what really gets me going? Proper storage.”
Although if somebody has...
please introduce us.
But cleaning and care are part of owning toys.
It protects your investment.
It makes grabbing something from the drawer feel more inviting.
And it removes one completely unnecessary question from the moment:
“Wait... did we clean this?”
Nobody needs that plot twist.
💗 Wet Stuff Clean: Give It a Permanent Home
Rather than remembering toy cleaners exist only when you're standing beside the sink holding something questionable, give Wet Stuff Clean a permanent home near wherever you normally clean or store your toys.
That creates a habit.
Toy comes out.
Toy gets used.
Toy gets cleaned according to its care instructions.
Toy dries.
Toy goes away.
Done.

One product.
One little routine.
Considerably less haunted bedside drawer.
👻 A Final Word
Halloween encourages us to embrace the spooky.
The mysterious.
The unexplained.
Things lurking in dark corners.
But when it comes to your toy collection?
We prefer fewer mysteries.
Know what your toys are made from.
Know how their manufacturers recommend cleaning them.
Check them before use.
Clean them after.
Dry them properly.
Store them carefully.
And occasionally give that entire drawer a proper inspection.
Because toys are supposed to deliver good surprises.
Not:
“What IS that?”
So this Halloween, open the drawer.
Turn on the spooky playlist.
Grab the Wet Stuff Clean.
And banish the scariest creature of them all:
The Toy That Hasn't Been Cleaned Since Last Time.
Now THAT is frightening. 👻🧴🎃💗
